Classic film sound tracks Climb Ev’ry Mountain and My Favourite Things have been given the remix treatment by Spring Heel Jack and feature on The Sound of Music EP. Designer Yuki Miyake of System Gafa has created the cover for this eclectic CD, using photographs of US mountain scenery. Three pictures were layered montage-style, and their colours enhanced by computer to create the final image. ‘I wanted it to look almost abstract, with a familiar but spooky feel,’ says Miyake. The CD, released on Tugboat Records, is about to go on-shelf.
Curated by Sea Design, the exhibition focuses on the geometric identity created by consultancy Roundel, which was used on British Rail’s freight trains in the 1980s and 1990s.
