Yellow pages drives Birmingham nuts

Yellow Pages may have achieved the impossible and injected colour and vibrancy into the city of Birmingham.

Through its ambient ad campaign, designed by Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO, Yellow Pages has placed a yellow banner that is 11m-high, featuring a red squirrel, on the side of a building in Central Birmingham.

Brummies were invited to ‘try coaxing the squirrel down’, using nuts specially supplied for the occasion. But people in other cities should not feel deprived: Manchester and Edinburgh will soon be getting similar banners.
