My chosen item would be my cheap silver Casio digital watch (the version with a green bulb to light up the screen). It’s a classic but not worth a penny, as it is still being mass-produced. What is important is the message written behind the clock face. It was given to me with the words ’Laurie, be on time’ scratched with a compass into the reverse of the face. I have had the watch for a long time, and I’m never late
