Cardiff festival calls for entries

Organisers of this year’s Cardiff Design Festival are sending out a call for entries for work to be showcased at events across the city in June.

Submissions are invited for disciplines including branding, exhibition design, fashion, furniture, graphics, interiors, packaging, product design, textiles, Web design, new media and advertising. However, the festival is restricting entries to design companies working in Wales, and from Welsh businesses and organisations.

The chosen designs will be featured in an on-line gallery showcase and a selection of the best work is to appear at the events, as well as at various shows across Europe throughout the year.

The third Cardiff Design Festival will take place from 7-24 June across the city, with events including a Best of Welsh Design showcase, student graduate shows and an exhibition of the Design Wales ‘Ffres’ student competition’s winning entries.

It is facilitated by Cardiff School of Art & Design at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff, in collaboration with partners from the creative industries and other public bodies and private businesses. For more information visit www.cardiffdesignfestival.org.
