Design meets science at Kingston

Knowledge network Designplus is set to cross the stratosphere between design and science with a symposium and research networking event at Kingston University.

The integration of design and science, with a focus on environments and well-being, will be the subject of the event organised by Designplus on 12 June at Dorich House, Kingston Vale. It aims to bring together academics with an interest in the subjects and features work from various disciplines.

The keynote international address will be by Professor James Wise, Washington State University, USA, on The Use of Fractals and Space Syntax in Designing Restorative Environments.

Additionally, Professor Charles Spence from Oxford University will speak on Multisensory Perception: Design Issues for Well-being, Dr Jacques Mizan from University College London on Combining Science and Design for Healthy Environments, and Hilary Dalke from Kingston University on Colour, Design & Healthcare Environments.
