Method opens London office

US digital media and branding group Method is setting up its first European office in London, headed by former Shazam chief operating officer Claus Nehmzow.

The consultancy, with 63 staff in New York and San Francisco, recently redesigned the website for US architect and design group Gensler, which went live in February.

It also created technology, entertainment and design website www.ted.com. Method’s US clients include Gucci, Kiehl’s, Yahoo! and Adobe.

Nehmzow claims that the group has netted four European clients already, but refuses to say which ones.

Method intends to boost its digital design offer by exploiting Nehmzow’s experience in virtual world technology.

‘The integration of virtual worlds with a company’s branding strategy is a growing trend in today’s multi-touchpoint world,’ says Nehmzow.

Currently based in a temporary office in the City of London, Method is looking for a permanent base in Clerkenwell.

The consultancy hopes to expand further into Europe in the next few years, beginning with Germany, Austria and Switzerland before looking to Spain and Italy.
