The Scottish Museums Council is launching its new name and visual identity, designed by Locofoco.
Locofoco has renamed the funding body as Museums Galleries Scotland, in an attempt to reflect the fact that the organisation supports both museums and galleries.
The Glasgow-based consultancy won the contract in September last year following a three-way creative pitch against Bell Graphic and Pointsize Wolffe.
Locofoco claims that the archway symbol in the marque represents the idea of public access.
The identity is rolling out on the Museum Gallery Scotland website as well as stationery, information packs, display stickers and leaflets this week.
