Accountant BDO seeks branding consultant

Global accountant BDO is in the throes of a pitch to find a consultancy for a six-figure corporate branding brief.

BDO International executive office director, brand and marketing, Julia Henniker-Heaton confirms that the company is ‘in the midst of a pitch process, the details of which are private and confidential’, and declines to comment further.

Consultancies including Start Creative, Greentarget, Radley Yeldar and Lambie-Nairn are thought to have been part of the original line-up, though this is now understood to have been whittled down further.

A decision is expected to be made within the next fortnight.

The estimated £100 000 contract is thought to focus on how to differentiate products and services regionally, while retaining BDO International’s corporate identity.

BDO International engaged Landor Associates in 2005 to help it increase trans-national business between its member firms. The project, which won a Design Business Association Design Effectiveness Award in 2007, saw the creation of an internal communications programme to engage all of BDO’s member firms.

The company claims to be the world’s fifth largest accounting network, with more than 1000 offices worldwide.
