Asda is poised to relaunch its pharmacy range, with design by Cheltenham-based consultancy FLB.
The own-label range includes First Aid, cough and cold, indigestion, pain relief, allergy relief and diagnostics products.
Asda briefed FLB to create ‘a clear, credible design which is able to span a wide range of products,’ according to the supermarket’s senior packaging design manager Simon Arundel.
FLB has invoked the universal symbol of healthcare, a white cross, in its core design. The cross sits on top of two overlapping wide bands.
‘Trust is very important when customers are choosing an over-the-counter remedy, so the design had to be in line with their expectations, as well as standing out against other brands’, says executive creative director of FLB Colin Mechan.
The new branding and packaging will launch after Easter.
