Grand Designs Live hosts design stars

The fifth annual Grand Designs Live show kicked off this weekend in London, featuring speeches from designers including Ilse Crawford, Naomi Cleaver and Wayne Hemingway, and work from Established & Sons.

Divided into five sections, the show includes an interiors segment and a Design Arcade, which contains work for sale by Bubinga, Bottle Alley Glass and design collective Farm’s Giles Miller, among others.

New product launches at the event include the Summer House Sphere, a spherical, rotating summer house designed by Ornate Gardens and Farmers Cottage Lamps. Samsung will also unveil its first 3D television monitor, the Samsung 2233RZ.

A programme of seminars aimed at design professionals is also taking place, covering subjects from furniture fittings technology to interior and exterior lighting.

Grand Designs Live continues at London’s Excel Centre, E16 until 4 May.
