Found Associates works on design store Lollipop Shoppe

The 150m2 store is arranged over two floors in Old Spitalfields Market. It will sell furniture and products by Carl Malmsten, Artek and Muuto. Anthony Burrill has created an exclusive clock for the London outlet, as well as graphics for the stairwell.

Found Associates won the contract to design the Brighton-based Lollipop Shoppe’s London store at the start of the year, after ordering office furniture from the shop.

The architect is installing a black rubber floor and black rubber fittings, which will contrast with stripped-back Victorian brickwork.

‘Because the building is listed it had to be very well branded,’ says Found Associates director Daniel Beardsley. ‘We have not made too many interventions as we wanted to reference the original setting of Spitalfields,’ he adds.

The Lollipop Shoppe London opens on Saturday.
