Amaze works on digital projects for Unilever

Amaze has been appointed as global digital partner to Unilever and given a portfolio of 68 websites to support.

The consultancy, which was appointed following a six-way pitch, will look to build a more consistent digital presence for Unilever, which has websites across 104 countries.

No plans have yet been made to redesign individual websites, but Wendy Stonefield, commercial partner at Amaze, says, ‘We will work alongside the other countries and roll out optimised content and initiatives.’

The consultancy says visuals and functionality will be led by Unilever.com. Amaze will also work closely with a Unilever team and the company’s chosen ad agency Ogilvy.

Stonefield says that the appointment focuses on ‘global digital strategy’ and the delivery of ‘specialised support services to centralised communication operations in multinational corporations’.

Neil Atkinson, director of global communication channels at Unilever, says that Amaze has been chosen for its global digital implementation and management experience.
