Clearsilver creates dog welfare website for Battersea

Clearsilver has worked on a website for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to create an online training and resource hub for dog welfare information.

Appointed directly in March, the consultancy was tasked with bringing existing print campaign People With Dogs into an online space.

The project looks to tackle anti-social behaviour with dogs by targeting children and young adults in schools, youth clubs and the local community, with the aim of curbing the capital’s status dog problem.

Trainers who are educating young people through the campaign will use the site to update information in a secure log-in area.

The look and feel is a departure from existing printed materials, according to consultancy managing director Ian Leach, who says, ‘The colours were drab and it was quite negative. This is more positive and has a bit of an edge, which should appeal more to young people.’

People With Dogs is run by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in association with the Blue Cross and the RSPCA, with support from the Metropolitan Police, Wandsworth Borough Council and the Greater London Authority.
