Eye of the storm

London-based artist Hannah Westwood will open a solo show at the city’s Tenderpixel gallery next month, inspired by the fast pace of 21st century life, called Eye of the Storm.

As part of the exhibition, Westwood has created a site-specific drawing for London gallery that will stretch over the entire gallery wall. Her work references the real and fantasy landscapes around her be that physical, digital, architectural or corporeal – all heady stuff.

The result is graphic pencil drawings that resemble what you’d expect to see if Star Wars’ exploding Death Star was rendered in graphite. Here’s a sneak peek at Westwood’s progress ahead of the show.
