Jones joins Reading Room

Phil Jones, founder of Real Time consultancy, is to take up the post of chairman of digital consultancy Reading Room.

Jones’s appointment is designed to be the next step in the consultancy’s ongoing plans for growth. His role will focus on creating the drive to take the business further forward.

‘What attracted me to it [Reading Room] was the quality and creativity of the senior team and its ambitious growth plans,’ says Jones.

Jones joined Real Time Studio as managing director in 1991, and in 2000 he led the studio into a merger with Evans Hunt Scott to form EHS Realtime and further extended the digital offering with brands such as Tesco and the Premier League.

Following a further merger, Jones took on the role of vice chairman and operations director of direct marketing agency EHS Brann in 2002. He left that position in 2004 and set up Real Time Consultancy, which allowed him to offer business advice in a non-executive role.
