Red Leader lifts Farrow site out of the shade

A revamped website for Linda Farrow Vintage sunglasses has breathed fresh life into the iconic 1970s brand.

A revamped website for Linda Farrow Vintage sunglasses has breathed fresh life into the iconic 1970s brand.

The company was relaunched in 2003 by the designer’s son, Simon Jablon, when he unearthed more than 2000 of Farrow’s vintage designs in the family’s warehouse, which he has been selling to exclusive retailers ever since.

The website has been created by London consultancy Red Leader to showcase the company’s heritage, as well as keep customers up to date on new collaborations.

Richard Lonsdale, managing director of Red Leader, was leading the project. ‘Linda Farrow already had a strong brand, so they wanted a site that was timeless, classic and low-key enough to allow each design to speak for itself. The content had to be the main focus,’ he explains.

Red Leader has previously worked on projects for Sony BMG, Serpentine Gallery, Gasworks Gallery and the Hayward Gallery.
