Spitalfields push by the book

London’s Spitalfields Market is to be promoted as a fashionable shopping destination in its new Look Book, designed by graphic design consultancy Bleach.

The 64-page A5 brochure presents the recently redesigned Spitalfields as a buzzing market full of independent retailers and a thriving food market.

The Look Book, which is being sent out to national newspapers and magazines, is matt laminated with spot UV.

It is bound and packaged in transparent silver envelopes that complement the front cover illustration.

The brochure’s dividing pages and cover feature montages have been created in-house using photography and illustration.

Bleach creative director David Puzey says, ‘The Look Book has been designed to try and turn around Spitalfields’ image after its regeneration had some bad press. We are saying that it’s still a trendy place with its original spirit intact.’

The brochure promotes men’s and women’s niche retailers such as Chica and Source, as well as the weekend fine-food market and interiors shops.

London-based Bleach previously worked on the identity, branding and marketing literature for Spitalfields.
