K-Swiss opens Shoreditch store

K-Swiss has announced it is opening a new K-Space store in London’s Shoreditch.

K-Swiss has announced it is opening a new K-Space store in London’s Shoreditch, designed by 6A, who won the business in a credential based pitch.

The store, called KS1, follows the success of the flagship K-Space store in Holland, but it is not yet clear who is spearheading the retail design. The opening is part of an initiative to roll out K-Space stores across Europe.

The five-floor site will have a retail space, a showroom and an entertainment area for live music. This will be controlled by the k-space.tv arm, which will stream events at www.kspace.tv/.

Like the Amsterdam store, the space is completely dedicated to K-Swiss products and will sell its own range of designs.

The store will open in Charlotte Road, EC2, on 20 August, with a new range of shoes designed by Julia Hederus, who has worked with the company before.

The direction of the project may change as it is still in development, according to a K-Swiss spokeswoman.
