Art Directors Club in global push

New York-based design and media organisation the Art Directors Club is creating an international network of representatives, including Syzygy managing director Meera Chandra in the UK.

The network will initially consist of 14 representatives covering 26 countries. The reps will attempt to promote the club to creative professionals as well as recruit members and co-ordinate local events.

In the UK, Chandra will also encourage participation in the club’s annual global awards, as well as ADC Young Guns and the newly created ADC Cube club, for winners of the organisation’s Cube award.

Besides the UK, the list of countries in the global network includes Argentina, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Chile, China, France, Italy, Japan, Romania and Taiwan.

This is the first time in its 88-year history that the club has attempted to expand its network outside the US. Among other benefits, members can post their portfolios on the ADC website and receive advisory letters for work visa approval.
