Artist builds Golden Lane tea hut
Artist Camilla Brueton is creating a tea hut in the Exhibit Gallery in East London’s Golden Lane Estate as part of the Super Estate community event.
The Societea hut will be in place for two weeks, on 13-15 and 20-22 August. Brueton will be serving tea and homemade cake in the hut in exchange for stories and conversation.
She is also inviting visitors to bring along their favourite mugs to be photographed for the Mug-a-thon hall of fame.
Societea is part of Brueton’s 11-month Super Estate project, which aims to explore social space at the Golden Lane estate.
