The consultancy was appointed last month following a competitive tender and a subsequent seven-way pitch.
The three-year commission will cover communications strategy support, brand development, design, photography and multi-channel content, with a growing emphasis on social media.
The NMC regulates the nursing and midwifery professions, and promotes nursing and midwifery to the public, healthcare organisations and the UK and European governments.
