Friends of the Earth launches CO2 website

Friends of the Earth is launching a new campaign website this week, designed by CHI & Partners.

FoE’s Get Serious About CO2 website features a petition demanding that councils reduce local emissions by 40 per cent by 2020.

The site’s homepage features photographs of visitors to the site pulling their ‘most serious face’, according to the charity.

The uploaded images join those taken by commercial photographer Adam Hinton, who photographed the first 100 petitioners.

The site, at http://www.getseriousaboutco2.org, invites its petitioners to organise themselves into ‘tribes’ based on shared levels of seriousness about the campaign. The tribes are depicted as a ‘swirling wall of interactive images’, according to the charity.

‘We’re hoping the interactivity of the site will draw people more deeply into our work and establish a community of people serious about councils cutting CO2,’ says FoE publishing and new media manager Christian Graham.

You really need to start providing links in these news features. Especially here, where you are referring to a website!

You should really post the website URL after the artcle.
