Kemistry creates ‘intense’ ice-cream brand

Kemistry has created the branding and packaging for new ice cream brand Rica.

Rica is being unveiled with a tasting session today at Harrods, and will have a full launch at British Food Fortnight in September.

It is owned by former Kemistry staffer Tony Laryea, who started working with the consultancy on the brand last year.

Laryea says, ‘I wanted the brand to be distinctive, clean and modern. It’s very much related to the taste, which is very intense and clean as the ice cream is made without eggs.’

Rica ice cream comes in flavours including rose water and cracked black pepper and ginger.

The range will go on sale initially in Harrods and high-end delicatessens.

    I would love to know what ingredients are in the ice cream as I am lactose intolerant and coeliac, and can’t have corn products, but would die for ice cream. How can I try some please?

    According to Kemistry’s website;

    “Rica ice cream is made with pure fruit, goat’s milk, goat’s cream, unrefined sugar, spices, herbs and salep (a fine powder ground from orchid tubers); the sorbets with pure fruit, unrefined sugar and water”
