Dorrian, who has been creative director at Start’s London office for five years, will take up his new role next month, with a brief to build a creative team for the consultancy’s Hong Kong and China operation.
He will also lead the creative work on the Moma developments for Chinese property developer Modern Green. Start has been appointed to a multiplatform project to brand six cities in China in the project, for which the consultancy will demand a six-figure fee, rising to seven figures over several years.
Dorrian will join Start Hong Kong managing director Jonathan Cummings and three others in the Hong Kong office.
Dorrian says, ‘After five happy years at Start Creative in the UK I am very much looking forward to joining Jonathan and the team in Hong Kong to further build our reputation as a leading brand and digital creative agency.’
Cummings says, ‘Not only is Dorrian an exceptional creative, but he has a proven track record of developing young talented graduates who have gone on to become outstanding designers.
‘There is no shortage of raw creative talent on Hong Kong and across the region, and I am very much looking forward to working with Michael to unlock their potential.’
