London-based independent record label Ninja Tune celebrates its twentieth birthday this year. Aside from a series of no doubt loud and sweaty birthday parties, the label will be toasting to 20 years at an exhibition of album artwork, posters and ephemera in London from 20 August.

The exhibition, which is the first show dedicated to Ninja Tune and its offshoot labels, will include two decades of posters, original drawings, paintings and 3D models. There will also be posters, special pressings, tour laminates from the likes of The Cinematic Orchestra, Roots Manuva and Mr Scruff.

To coincide with the exhibition, the label will be holding a one-day pop-up, so vinyl-lovers and Ninja fans can get their hands on rare memorabilia and merchandise. Black Dog Publishings will be producing a book Ninja Tune: 20 Years of Beats and Pieces for the anniversary and the limited edition Ninja Tune XX box set, with stunning packaging designed by Openmind, will also be available as part of the party.

I’m feeling old now. I have some of the first Ninja Tune releases on vinyl. And they’re still here next to me in the basement.

    Congrats Ninja Tune
