Zombie village
As part of the recent push to fill vacant shops and spaces in London’s Brixton, Zombie Collective will be holding a pop-up shop-cum-exhibition at Brixton village this weekend.
The one-day event is part of Spacemakers, an initiative that has been started to bring back a bit of life to the market and spruce up down-and-out shops that were lying vacant.
The collective, which is made up of graphic artists and designers, Frann Preston-Gannon, Maggie Li, Alice Lickens, Rebecca Jay and Joely Brammer, will be exhibiting their work and will be running a numer of workshops including printing, bookbinding and good old facepainting.
It’ll be a good chance to check out a number of the new shops in the village, including the Circus shop with carboard interior by Studio DB, and have a look at the work of this exciting collective.
The Zombie Collective pop-up shop is at Brixton Village, Granville Arcade SW9 on 21 August, between 11am-6pm.
