Alphabetical designs Creative Notebook for D&AD
Alphabetical has created The Creative Notebook for D&AD, an advice manual for graduates with tips from the likes of Bob Gill, Jason Bruges and Greg Quinton.
Bob Young, creative partner at Alphabetical says, ‘The concept behind the book was to create a “found notebook” that looked as though it had been passed on and filled in by each owner.
‘This gave us license to illustrate some of the key quotes in fun and interesting ways using only our imaginations and a few marker pens.’
At the heart of the book is the secret to ‘getting the most out of yourself and standing out form the crowd,’ says Young.
The notebook is being offered by D&AD in its new student welcome pack, which goes to every student who attends a college within the D&AD student network.
It has been designed with broad enough appeal to aspiring advertisers, photographers, designers, and copywriters – reflected in the expert contributors, who also include Erik Kessels of ad agency
Kessels Kramer and Kyle Cooper, who designs motion picture title sequences.
