Distil Studio creates a new dimension for Thorne

Distil Studio has created a new identity based on architectural plans and furniture specifications for office interiors company Thorne.

The consultancy was brought in to create a new identity for the Cambridge-based company that would ‘play a more active role in their business and marketing plans’, according to Neil Hedger, Distil Studio creative director.

The company, which designs, manages and builds working environments, saw its original name, Thorne Office Interiors, shortened to Thorne. Distil Studio then created the Think Thorne proposition, which it describes as a ‘clarion call’ to businesses and prospective clients.

Hedger says, ‘The identity adopts the visual language of dimensions and measurements found on architectural plans and furniture specifications, naturally forming a simple “T” to reflect the title.’

These lines are carried throughout the identity’s applications on printed materials, marketing collateral, online and on a short animation, also created by Distil Studio.
