US group RGA establishes London office

US digital media group RGA is opening an office in London in a bid to create a European hub from which to offer full-service digital branding and advertising.

RGA gained a tentative presence in London in 2005 when it won the global Nokia N-series account. The office will support a number of RGA clients and build on local clientele, with the aim of building a 20-strong team by early 2007. Its UK office will be located on New Oxford Street.

‘London was a natural choice for us, not only in catering to client needs, but also due to the history of creativity and digital expertise that has flourished in the city,’ says Bob Greenberg, chairman and chief executive at RGA.

‘Given the vibrancy of the market, our goal is to establish a strong footprint in Europe and maintain the consistent, high quality of work for which we are known,’ he says.

According to the latest forecast from media buying group Carat, UK Web advertising revenues are set to overtake print advertising revenues for the first time this year.

RGA works with clients such as Nike, IBM, Ian Schrager, Hilton, Reuters and Levi’s.
