Photographers’ Gallery plans out

Design plans for the new £15.5m home for The Photographers’ Gallery in Soho, due to open in 2010, were revealed today.

Architects O’Donnell & Tuomey will design the overall gallery, while the development will double the current exhibition space, provide state-of-the-art technology for education, a new on-line research centre and a street level café and bar.

The proposals could throw up opportunities for design consultancies to carry out interior work, such as the café space, graphics and signage.

The development will be located in Ramilies Street, off Oxford Street, W1.
