Start wins Dubai World Trade Centre branding work

Start Creative has been appointed to work on a major new brand and digital communications strategy for the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Duncan Daines, director of strategy at Start Creative, says the consultancy won the work after taking part in a ten-way pitch, comprising five international consultancies and five local ones, in November.

The Dubai World Trade Centre is an organisation set up to establish the emirate as a commercial and financial hub, and Daines says the work, which will look at brand positioning, communications and internal engagement, is expected to take nine months to a year to carry out.

Start Creative opened a Dubai office last month, which is currently operating as a holding office.

Daines says Start, which is also working with Dubai Airports, Nakheel and MBC in Dubai, hopes to make its first permanent appointment to the office early next year.
