The group decided to open the office after winning a contract with an unnamed Australian fast-moving consumer goods brand.
The new office, which opened on Friday, is being headed by client services director for Australia Lucy Plunkett. Plunkett was previously group head of experiential at the consultancy’s London office. She reports to BD Network director Jonny Clow, who will split his time between London and Melbourne.
Due for delivery in the spring, the work for the FMCG brand will involve the creation of an integrated marketing campaign. BD Network plans to keep the office open after the work has been delivered.
‘The founding client sees this as a long-term relationship and we are looking at building more opportunities to grow the office,’ says a spokeswoman for the group.
