Macaulay Sinclair tucks into steakhouse work

Macaulay Sinclair has been appointed as designer for the expansion programme of British steakhouse Hawksmoor, which is opening a new restaurant in London’s West End.

The Nottingham-based consultancy won the brief after a four-way pitch.

Hawksmoor, which currently has just one restaurant, in London’s Shoreditch, has yet to announce the location of its new West End branch, set to open in May.

The 500m2 project is based around the idea of ‘Britishness, quality, unpretentiousness, character and understated style’, says Mike Sinclair, co-director of Macaulay Sinclair.
