Someone to rebrand Eurostar

Eurostar has appointed Someone to redesign its logo. The London consultancy beat Wolff Olins, Fallon and advertising agency WCRS’s branding arm Dave to win the contract.

Someone will create the new identity in preparation for next year, when Eurostar will be exposed to competition from other train operators for the first time in its 15-year history.

Minale Tattersfield created the original Eurostar logo, which a source close to the pitch says will continue to be used alongside the updated identity for the next two years while the new marque is phased in (DW 10 December).

This is likely to influence the look and feel of the new identity, as will the fact that the branding must appeal equally to audiences in the UK, France and Belgium.
