University of the Arts London postgraduate show opens

The University of the Arts London postgraduate show, 125, opens this week, with branding, identity, visual communication and moving image work displayed at the London College of Communication, SE1.

MA graduate in graphic and branding identity Amra Alabdalisharif will show her work, The Aroma of Saudi Arabia. The project shows Saudi Arabia branded through one of its characteristic aromas, coffee. Alabdalisharif hopes that the work will help ‘win the hearts and minds’ of non-Saudis, who often ‘misjudge’ the country.

Anna Kendler is an MA graduate in graphic design. Her Little Green Fingers project (pictured) encourages young families to start growing food at home, and contains illustrated instructions as well as interactive and educational experiments, such as showing how to grow food in small spaces.

Alexandra Strassheimer’s Complexcity will be one of the works on display from the visual communication course. The photographic project is a study of transport networks in London.

The 125 show runs until 5 December.
