Westminster seeks kiosk designer
Westminster City Council is seeking a designer for a bespoke kiosk for traders in London’s West End.
The council is seeking a designer or architect to create an ‘iconic’ kiosk design to be piloted in four sites before potentially being rolled out to 45 kiosks across 18 sites.
The design will be piloted in Woodcock Street, Lumley Street, Marylebone Lane and Great Titchfield Street, and the council is aiming to get it on the streets by the autumn.
Councillor Robert Davis, Westminster City Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for the built environment, says, ‘We want a kiosk which reflects the West End’s reputation as a leader in creative and cutting-edge design, and this is a unique chance for a talented designer to truly make their mark on one of the greatest cities in the world.’
