Deep creates Macmillan cancer charity centenary calendar

Deep has designed a 2011 calendar for Macmillan Cancer Support to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the charity.

The consultancy began working on the calendar three months ago after it was approached by Macmillan following work on the charity’s 2009 calendar.

Deep was briefed to create a calendar for Macmillan’s online community that was celebratory and would raise money to support the charity’s work.

For the calendar, which be sold at itsjustasixletterword.co.uk, Deep approached 13 illustrators that the team admired or from the blogging community to create an image for each month.

The illustrators, including Adrian Johnson, Chris Martina and Si Scott, looked at the different ways Macmillan helps people with cancer and the charity’s 100-year history.

Deep director Louise Barron says, ‘The illustrations are celebratory and recognise the importance of such a meaningful charity celebrating its centenary.’
