Season’s greetings

As the Christmas cards come piling in, we thought we’d share a few of our favourites so far.

Instead of going for the standard 12 days of Christmas, Sane and Able went for 12 festive beards for its seasonal cards. Each card has ‘A beard for you’ and features such beauties as The Pretzel, The Schnauzer and the Smuggler.

Rather than send just one Christmas card, Sane and Able sent us a blank set of six – a practical and skin-saving gift, thanks Sane and Able. Cleverly the consultancy is selling both sets online so you too can have a hirsute new year.

One Point Oh looked to the streets of central London for its Christmas offering, posting us some festive placards rather the standard card. Featuring slogans such as ‘Baubles not bombs’ and ‘Santa’s judgement is coming’, the placards make a topical alternative to the average tinsel and penguins.

Likening a tweet to a snowflake because of their ephemeral, unique natures, Ico plugged into the Twitterverse for their Christmas cards. Each card is a one off, generated using real tweets and has been packaged up into sets of three and sent out to clients.

Aptly the consultancy has created a digital offering too at tweetflakes.co.uk. There users can see their own tweets transform into snowflakes or watch other #xmas tweets evolve into a snow storm.

Another thoughtful and useful card, is Alan Bates Design’s paper turkey bag. Although we’re informed that what we put in the bag ‘is entirely up to you’, the consultancy recommend a turkey and have supplied a recipe accordingly.
