Speed up Santa

Italian design company Skitsch has thought up a novel way of herding customers into its London store ahead of Christmas.

After filling your bags high with their goods, Skitsch are offering visitors a ride home in their ‘all weather chariot’, a Santa-powered, three-wheeled Skitsch bike.

Unfortunately ‘a ride home’ only constitutes a distance within an eight minute radius of the store, so unless you’re lucky enough to live in Brompton or Knightsbridge, the offer may be more of a token gesture than an actual transportation solution.

Whether you think the idea is a sweet thank you to shoppers or a naff consumerist gimmick, I’m sure your cockles will be warmed by the fact that Skitsch is donating ten per cent of it sales before 25 December to international children’s charity Association of Hole in the Wall Camps.

Rides will take place on 10, 11, 17, 18 December from the Skitsch shop, 270 Brompton Road, London SW3.
