Architects decorate Regent Street shop windows
Architects are creating window installations for nine shops on London’s Regent Street as part of this year’s Royal Institute of British Architects Regent Street Windows Project.
The practices have been tasked with creating new displays based on the theme of play.
Feix and Merlin has created an installation for Ferrari which features ribbons of neon light which form the outlines of Ferrari cars.
Gort Scott has developed a geometric arrangement of painted sticks for the Anthropologie windows, which will act as the backdrop to mannequins.
The windows at Banana Republic feature an installation of small plastic safari animals in resin, developed by Ushida Findlay and Visitor Studio.
The other projects see Bradley van der Straeten working with Quiksilver, De Matos Ryan working with Reiss, Delvendahl Martin Architects working with Moss Bros, Egret West working with Folli Follie, Liddicoat & Goldhill working with TM Lewin and Zero Zero working with Bose.
The window installations are all going on display between 16 April and 6 May.
Great job!
