Christopher Kieling’s menagerie
We love a bit of animal-related illustration here at Design Week, and German artist Christopher Kieling’s upcoming show at the Book Club really ticks our boxes.

Berlin-born Kieling, currently a graphics student at Central Saint Martins, works across illustration, etching and linocutting, taking in subjects including portraits, comic-book style panels, bizarre scenarios and, as you can see animals.

(We’re particular fans of this cat/shark portrait.)

Kieling says his work is inspired by the Berlin grafitti scene as well as explorations into new approaches such as woodwork, moving-image and traditional print processes.

This solo show of his new work is curated by Liat Chen.

Kontrast by Christopher Kieling is at the Book Club, 100-106 Leonard Street, London EC2A from 10 May-17 June.
