Green Party rolls out new websites

The Green Party is rolling out a series of new regional and national websites, with design by Winchester-based consultancy Studio Republic.

Studio Republic director Chris Todhunter says the consultancy began working on the Green Party websites in February, after being referred on to the project by MODX, the content management system on which the sites are built.

It is creating the look and feel for more than 100 local and regional Green Party websites and the national site, with the new designs set to launch imminently. It will also work on Facebook apps for the party.

The first site to launch is the Green Party London site, which went live this month ahead of the London Mayoral election, which takes place on 3 May.

Todhunter says the design aims to bring the sites ‘up-to-date’ introducing new photography and graphics.

Mark Cridge, management co-ordinator for the Green Party, says, ‘The new site designs will set us up for further electoral success in the years to come.’
