Habitat launches Platform gallery
Habitat is opening a new gallery space under its Kings Road, London store next month.
Platform at Habitat is opening with an exhibition of photographs by architect John Pawson (pictured).
The exhibition space will be open during store hours and serve as an exhibition space and venue for discussions, talks and design events.
Design journalist and author Suzanne Trocmé will curate the gallery, which Habitat says will ‘initiate design ideas, make links with architects and designers and serve as a space for brand creativity.’
The gallery will open on 10 May with the exhibition John Pawson: Framed, an extrapolation of printed images from the architects’ book A Visual Inventory.
Habitat managing director Clare Askem says ‘We are committed to investing in and developing Habitat and this initiative re-asserts our position at the forefront of remarkable design.’
Platform at Habitat will launch on 10 May at 208 Kings Road, London SW3
It’s a shame they didn’t do this kind of thing before the company imploded into a London-only venture. I didn’t even realise that Habitat were still going!
