It was appointed to work with New Balance in January having approached the brand directly.

The next work to launch will be a series of adverts for the brand’s work with the London Marathon, which will appear from 16 April, and the design and build of the New Balance stand at the Virgin London Marathon Exhibition at the ExCel centre in London.

For the exhibition, Lake was briefed to create a space that reflected the ‘past, present and future’ theme.

Barry Glinister, Lake managing director, says, ‘It has a retro style to it – it’ll look fairly unusual and striking.’

The initial project for New Balance saw Lake creating point-of-sale materials for the brand’s lightweight 1080v2 running shoe; and it is now working on further point of sale, advertising and exhibition projects.

Glinister adds, ‘The New Balance brand is one that we have wanted to work with for many years and while it might be too late to save my athletic career, hopefully our work will provide inspiration to the many everyday and professional athletes who love the brand.’
