Love to open Shanghai office
Manchester-based consultancy Love is set to open a new office in Shanghai, China, which will build on recent client wins in the country.
The office is set to open in the coming weeks and will be led by Jing Lien, who is joining Love as general manager of its Asia operation.
Jing has previously worked for consultancies including Ideo, Wieden & Kennedy and TBWA and will be tasked with building the new Shanghai office.
The move to open in Shanghai follows a number of projects by Love for the Asian market, for clients including Diageo, Nike and Chinese sports retailer Pengda.
Chris Conlan, managing director at Love, says, ‘It goes without saying that there is huge economic growth in Shanghai, and the type of work we do sits very well with the market – which is about helping the consumer understand the value of premium brands.’
He adds, ‘A lot of the networked international groups are already in Shanghai, but we feel we can offer a bit more of a bespoke solution.’
Conlan says Love aims to develop the Shanghai office both by recruiting staff locally and by transferring people from the Manchester office.
