Nike brings athletes and designers together for Boxpark exhibition
Nike has paired 11 UK athletes including Mo Farah and Perri Shakes-Drayton with East London artists including Lucas Dillon and Matthew Bromley for an exhibition this evening at retail development Boxpark.
The project which sees the artists intrepret the artists inspiration will be unveiled at the NikeID Studio.
Each athlete was asked ‘How will you make it count this year?’ Their answers – for example, lofty, inspirational and aspirational, are then translated into paint.
An additional piece by James Jarvis will be produced live at the entrance to the space on its opening night as a response to the whole concept.
A limited edition book of the works has been designed by Intercity Studio.
The show marks the launch of the Nike Free Run +ID and will be held at the NikeiD Studio, Boxpark, 2-4 Bethnal Green Road, London, E1until 2 May.
