Greenwood is responsible for overall art direction of the film and  has mocked up her studio,  complete with research material, scripts, notebooks, drawings, schedules, notebooks and models.

Oh and her laptop, where you can see more of her preparatory work and phish her credit card details.

On the walls of the studio, illustrations, storyboards and photographs will be hung as clips from the film are played.

‘What visitors will see in this exhibition is not the finished piece of work that everyone sees in the cinema, but it reveals a unique glimpse behind the screen into the craft and design that goes into it.  Designing for film has the potential to encompass everything; this exhibition is a moment in that process,’ says Greenwood.

Greenwood has also art directed and produced the on-screen worlds of Pride and Prejudice, Hanna, The Soloist and Atonement.

A Snapshot. Behind The Scenes of Sarah Greenwood’s Sherlock Holmes runs from 26 January – 9 March at Arts Gallery, University of the Arts London, 272 High Holborn, WC1
