Getting inside children’s book illustration
For the December installment of Great Western Studios’ Inside Design series, things are taking something of a cute turn with illustrators Bruce Ingman and Trisha Krauss
The pair will be showing their work at an exhibition at the west London gallery, and kids that visit the show will be encouraged to interact with the works to create their own storybook characters.
Grown-ups, meanwhile, can take in the show’s explorations of the relationships between illustrator, writer and publisher.
Liverpool-born Ingman has worked on numerous children’s books, including a number of collaborations with The Jolly Postman creator Allan Ahlberg.
Krauss was born in America, but is now based in London. She has illustrated for publications including The New Yorker, The New York Times and the Washington Post, and last year published Maude, The Not so Noticeable Shrimpton.
Inside Design with Bruce Ingman and Trisha Krauss runs until 18 December at Great Western Studios, 65 Alfred Road, London W2
