Altrincham-based Factory is rebranding and changing its name from Factory Transmedia as it aims to build on recent growth and develop its own IP and rights management portfolio.
The identity uses a bespoke typeface based on stonemason signage. John Owens, creative director of Instruct, says this is inspired by the Factory founders’ backgrounds in industrial design.
Owens says: “We wanted to showcase that Factory are a workshop of creativity, they never sit still and not only create bright and fun animation but also deliver real innovation with their flexible approach.”
The new brand will roll out on Factory’s new website, which has also been designed by Instruct. Factory is also set to move into a new office space, which will also use the new identity.
