Family support charity Home-Start is launching a new identity this week, created by London-based communications consultancy This Way Up.

The relaunch, which will roll out over the next 18 months, follows a 12-month consultation across the regions, engaging some 340 local Home-Starts.

The consultancy was appointed to review the visual branding, brand guidelines and to create a new suite of literature for Home-Start.

According to This Way Up, the redesign comprises ‘brighter colours, friendly typography and a bold image style that has been designed to reflect Home-Start’s friendly, inclusive, family-centred approach’.

The rebrand aims to reflect how Home-Start ‘stands out in its sector for its levels of service and passion’.

Home-Start was set up in 1973 and has 16 000 home-visiting volunteers who devote their time each week to helping parents with children under five years old.

The volunteers visit parents at home and use their own parenting experience to support other mothers and fathers and give them practical and emotional help.
